Following successful trials in September, the programme has over 50 boys and girls attending, showcasing the football talent from all over the Kent County.
The Kent Reliance Girls PDC offers top quality coaching and player development opportunities for local girls aged between 8 to 14 years. The coaching programme offers a stepping stone for grassroots players to progress their careers towards attending a Regional Talent Club and potential selection for national squads. The disability programme also offers excellent coaching from coaches experienced in the disability arena and includes links to National Talent centres for specific impairments.
Kent Reliance, who sponsors the Player Development Centres as part of the Kent FA Community Partnership, are delighted to be able to continue to support girls football development in the county for another season.
Robert Gurr, Kent Reliance’s PR & Events Manager, said: “We are excited to continue supporting the Kent Reliance PDC, the level of skill on display is a clear indication of the calibre of players within the region. Kent Reliance is committed to supporting grassroots community initiatives which celebrate and develop local talent and we’re delighted to see the impact the Girls and Disability PDC’s are having on taking football forward in the county. ”
Paul Dolan, Kent FA’s Chief Executive, commented: “We are delighted that Kent Reliance are continuing their support for Kent FA’s Player Development Centres. The development training the Player Development Centre offers players means they benefit from a high standard of coaching, which leads to a continued improvement in the standard of grassroots football in our county.”
Kent FA’s Football Development Officer, Natalie Curtis, said: “It is so great to see how far the Kent FA Girls Player Development Centre has come, now in its fourth year we are excited about what the season holds. To have Kent Reliance show their support highlights how important grassroots football is in the county. It is a privilege to be able to provide an opportunity for the players to enjoy football, make friends and develop their skills with guidance from our outstanding FA coaches.”
